Hosting
The site is static and hosted by Vercel Inc. Vercel processes connection data (IP address, time, requested page, user agent) in server logs to deliver the pages. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) f GDPR, our interest in operating the site. TODO: name the Vercel region, link Vercel's DPA, state the log retention.
Cookies, consent and visit counting
The site sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts. Fonts and every script are served from this domain.
On your first visit a banner asks whether we may count your visit. Your answer is kept in your browser's local storage under the key "aislop-consent" so the site stops asking; it never leaves your browser. Storing it is necessary for the function you used (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can change your answer at any time with "Privacy choices" in the footer.
Only if you say yes, the site loads Vercel Web Analytics, a visit counter run by Vercel Inc. and served from this domain. Per page view it records the time, the page address, the referring site, country and region, browser, operating system and device type. It sets no cookies; Vercel tells visitors apart by a hash of the request and drops the visit session after 24 hours. We see aggregated numbers only. Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6 (1) a GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. Withdrawing it stops the counter from the next page load. Vercel describes the data in its Web Analytics privacy documentation.
Submissions by e-mail
When you report a site, your mail app sends an e-mail to check@aislopwebsites.com. We store it to review the tip and, where you asked for credit, to credit you. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) b and f GDPR. E-mails are deleted twelve months after the tip was closed. TODO: name the mail provider.
Entries about websites
Entries show screenshots of third-party websites. Faces, names of private individuals and contact details are blurred before publication. Where a business name appears, this is editorial content under Art. 6 (1) f GDPR and, as far as applicable, Art. 85 GDPR. Owners can dispute an entry at any time; see About.
Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability under Art. 15 to 21 GDPR, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Write to check@aislopwebsites.com.
