What slop looks like in doctors, dentists and clinics
A stock doctor in a white coat, sometimes with an extra finger, "Your health is our priority", a services grid with heart icons, opening hours missing or generic, and an appointment button that opens a mailto. Reviews signed "Patient".
What a designer would have done
The practice team by name with their own photos, the specialties in plain language, opening hours, the address, parking, the insurances accepted, and the real booking system. A clinic page is a reception desk: it answers the three questions people phone about.
Tells to check first
- AI-generated stock people: Smiling people with too-perfect skin, melting jewellery, six fingers or text on their clothing that is not in any language, presented as the team, the patients or the customers.
- No address, no phone, no name: No physical address, no phone number, no named person anywhere, only a form that may or may not work.
- Testimonials from Sarah J.: Quotes from "Sarah J., Marketing Manager" and "Michael T., CEO", with generated portraits, praising the product in the product's own vocabulary.
- Three icon cards: A row of three identical cards, each with an icon in a tinted rounded square, a four-word heading and two lines of text that say the same thing three ways.
- A form that submits to nothing: A contact or sign-up form with no action, no handler, or a success message that appears whatever you type.
